Qatar is set to host the FIFA world cup this coming winter in 2022. It will be the first of its kind, as there has been no winter world cup in the history of the competition, and it may set a precedent for future world cups to be hosted in the latter half of the year down the line as well.
As the host, Qatar is automatically qualified to participate in the world cup, as is the right of every host in the FIFA world cup, and this will be their maiden and inaugural appearance at the finals. They had not qualified before for the world cup, but as hosts, they have the chance to impress the world and lay down the marker for the next competitions in years to come.
Being the host nation, they would want to have the best kits in the competition, as in recent years, kits have become more stylish and a statement for people to wear. Kits and national team jerseys have become a style statement like never before, and it is a far cry from what used to be a plain colour shirt and shorts in the 20th century.
Qatar Team FIFA World Cup Kit
The revolution that has been seen in kits will only continue, as fans from around the globe like kits that are good-looking and want to wear them to different places like pubs and cafes and when they want to have a kick about with their friends.
Qatar has two kits, as is customary for every nation participating in the FIFA world cup to have two different kits for moments where the kits may clash with a different team’s kits which creates a fuss for everyone involved, not just fans. Qatar’s two kits are in contrast to each other, with one being dominated by a darker shade of red with white lining around the jersey and a symmetrical triangle on the sleeves of the t-shirt. The other kit is the opposite, with white dominating the jersey and red being used sparingly to highlight other parts of the jersey.
The kit has two prominent symbols or logos, with one being of Nike, who is the kit manufacturer, and the other being the logo of the Qatar football association in a circle. The logo of both Nike and the QFA is in the centre of the red kit, whereas on the white kid, they are on higher chest areas around the lungs.
