Senegal is one of the big teams in the AFCON. They are the team that is always in the mix to take the trophy home. Despite such praise and prestige, they have only ever qualified for the FIFA world cup on two separate occasions, with the trip to Qatar taking their tally up to 3 total appearances at the FIFA world cup.
Senegal has been quite competitive in the AFCON, and they recently won the AFCON in the latest edition. Senegal will be looking to the likes of Sadio Mane and Kalidou Kouliabaly, among others, as they aim to leave a strong impression on the tournament.
Senegal Team FIFA World Cup Kit
The revolution that has been seen in kits will only continue, as fans from around the globe like kits that are good-looking and want to wear them to different places like pubs and cafes and when they want to have a kick about with their friends. Puma is the kit manufacturer for Senegal, and the emblem of the Senegalese FA is on the opposite side of the Nike logo, and this is the case for both sets of jerseys.
They have two kits that they will be using and wearing at the world cup in Qatar, one being a white kit and the other being a green and yellow kit. Both kits are different in how they have been designed, which is rare, as countries want the designs of the kits to stay the same through the different colour combinations.
The white kit has a central three-stripe design like an arch, with the three colours being yellow, green and red, with a star in the middle yellow arched stripe. In all honesty, it is a good attempt but not the best design implementation, as there are kits from Nigeria and other nations that have far better designs and implementation with their kits.
The green kit is green all over, with yellow strokes, around the centre and a red crown in the centre that contains the national flag, the emblem of the Senegalese FA and the manufacturer’s logo above it. The kit also has highlights of red and yellow around the collar that sticks out and helps the kit stand out. Of the two kits, the green kit is far better, and it feels balanced in its design.
